Here are 5 Foods to Never Feed your Dog
You might be fond of eating super delicious food all the time but you can’t share everything you eat with your dog.
Sometimes you need to ignore your sweet puppy eyes begging for food that you are having. You must learn to say NO in such cases to your puppy.
No need to worry if you have no idea about such foods. Some foods of such sort that are explained in this article ahead are:
  1. Alcohol
  2. Dried fruits and nuts
  3. Dairy product, raw meats, and eggs
  4. Xylitol, baked goods, and sugary foods
  5. Garlic and onions
You must also keep the old and leftover food away from your dog. If you feed such foods to your dog then it might suffer from some very serious issues. Some people believe that some foods are good for some dogs but other dog breeds or dog kinds it can be harmful but this is not true. Following all foods for every dog breeds is not suitable.



1) Alcohol:
You might enjoy alcohol but your dog can get into serious danger if it gets alcohol.



Some of the serious health issues that your dog has to suffer from on having alcohol are:
  • Intoxication
  • Poor coordination
  • Unusual breathing
  • Acidity
  • Coma
  • Vomiting
  • Fluctuating body temperature
  • Disorientation
  • Weakened nervous system
Your dog can also lose its life in such case. Kidneys of a dog can’t filter the content of alcohol.
Alcohol can cause a serious physical alteration in the dog's body.
If you are having alcohols then keep it away from your dog if you want your dog to live a healthy life.



2) Dried Fruits and Nuts:
Raisins, currants, and sultanas are not good for your dog. They consist of some chemical component that is toxic to your beloved dog. You should not feed them to your dog even when they are baked up in a cake or pie.
Your dog can suffer from following health issues on having dried fruits
  • Kidney failure
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
Not only dried foods need not be fed to you but some fresh food also comes in this category.
You should not feed grapes to your dog. Grapes can cause renal failure issues on your blog. It might become a cause for lethargy also.
Stone of some fruits contains amygdaline, a chemical compound that can result in some serious digestive upset for your dog.
Some fruits of this category are:
  • Apples
  • Plums
  • Cherries
  • Peaches
Nuts contain a high-fat substance that is toxic to your dog. The most dangerous ones are macadamia nuts.
Nuts may cause:
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Tremor
  • Increased temperature
3) Dairy Product, Raw Meats, and Eggs:
Lactose in milk, butter, and cheese are much difficulty digested by dogs. The reason is that they do not produce much enzyme lactase. They can cause:
  • Mild tummy upset
  • Skin allergy
  • Feeding raw fish to your dog can cause:
  • Vitamin B (Thiamine) deficiency
  • Loss of appetite
  • Seizures
Similarly, raw eggs can cause serious skin issues with your dogs.
Dogs do not have much lactase enzyme which is the need for the digestion of food. If you still intend to give dairy products to your dog then you must look forward to the lactose-free dairy products.
You can cook the raw meat to feed to your dog. Coking the raw meat will kill its bacteria and other parasites that were present in the raw meat.



4) Xylitol, Baked Goods, and Sugary Foods:
Xylitol is artificial sweetens used in sweets and cakes. It is dangerous for your dog's health because it increases the release of hormones insulin.
An increase in insulin affects the glucose in your dog's body that can cause liver issues in your dogs. It can also cause seizures.
Xylitol poisoning symptoms are:
  • weakness
  • lack of coordination
  • vomiting
  • liver failure
  • lethargy
Feeding too much sugar to your dog can result in:
  • Dental issues
  • Obesity
  • Diabetes
Also, don't feed chocolate to your dog. It can result in dehydration, high blood pressure, and heart issues in eight your dig also.
Things in chocolate that are harmful to your dog are:
  • Caffeine
  • Theobromine
  • Theophylline



5) Garlic and Onions:
A small amount of onion is quite dangerous for your dog. Garlic is related to onion so you need not feed it to your dog also.
Whether the onion is raw form id in cooked form, you should not feed it to your dog. It is also no not good for the cat.
It contains disulfides and thiosulphates which can cause health disorder issue in your dogs:
  • Anemia
  • Damage red blood cells.
  • Weakness
  • Lack of interest in food.
These symptoms may start appearing 2-4 days after your dog eats onions. Even a small amount of onion can result in many hematological changes in your dog's body.
Not only onion is not good for your dog but foods containing no need not be fed to your dog also. Some such foods that you can feed to your dog are:
  • Pizza
  • Chinese foods
  • Sauces
Before feeding them these foods do check whether they contain onion or not. If they contain onion then don't feed them to your dog.

No doubt we humans like to enjoy such foods and sometimes feel healthy while eating them but it did not mean that if humans enjoy these foods that they are beneficial for dogs also.
Such foods can prove to be a cause of serious poisonous threat to your beloved dog.
